Wendy Greuel's mayoral campaign has launched an attack on Eric Garcetti with direct mail targeted at the African-American and Latino communities. In two similar mailers, the Greuel campaign highlights Garcetti's endorsement from white Republican Kevin James, who finished third in the March 5 primary.
"He's an Obama hater!" the mailer says, highlighting some of James' more intemperate remarks about the president. "Say no to Eric Garcetti! He sold us out to win Republican votes!"
Only problem with that: Wendy Greuel also courted James' endorsement. And we have the texts that show just how eager the courtship was -- she even joked at one point "I am stalking u : )."

This afternoon, former federal prosecutor and mayoral candidate Kevin James announced on the John and Ken Show that he officially filed a 42-page complaint with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission-Municipal Securities and Fraud Division (SEC) against the City of Los Angeles last October. According to the complaint, in attempt to cover up the extent of the city’s financial problems city officials moved hundred of millions of dollars from restricted funds into the general fund to pay for unaffordable union salary raises and pension benefits.

Today, mayoral candidate and former federal prosecutor Kevin James became the first candidate to utilize text message technology in the Los Angeles mayoral race. His 30-second YouTube ad, texted to approximately 1,000,000 registered voters in the City of Los Angeles, shows James as the outsider in the mayoral race noting, “city insiders may not like me, but you will.”

This afternoon, mayoral candidate and former federal prosecutor Kevin James held a press conference highlighting the details of the California Common Sense Los Angeles Pension Report. According to the report, among all California cities, Los Angeles has the largest pension obligation with an annual pension growth of 25%.
