Kevin James’ Official Statement on Wendy Greuel’s Dishonest Budget Proposal

POSTED BY KEVIN JAMES FOR MAYOR ON February 12, 2013 Share Share

LOS ANGELES, CA - As usual Controller Greuel's numbers don't add up. She has an honesty problem. Wendy hasn’t been honest with the public about the city's finances. Wendy's budget is pie in the sky based upon rosy projections just like much that she has proposed and voted for at City Hall. How can she propose this plan when she doesn’t even support the Measure that public safety unions claim is needed to keep them at current rates. If her numbers never add up and she won't be honest with the public, how can we ever trust her to be an honest Mayor?

Kevin James Responds to the San Bernardino Bankruptcy Announcement

POSTED BY KEVIN JAMES FOR MAYOR ON July 13, 2012 Share Share

LOS ANGELES, CA - "We are in a fiscal crisis in Los Angeles. City leaders recently, and quietly, declared a "fiscal emergency" in Los Angeles. Our current elected officials are largely responsible for allowing L.A.'s fiscal condition to teeter on the brink of bankruptcy. How many more California cities must file for bankruptcy before our elected officials wake up and make the responsible decisions to dig us out of this hole? I'm running for Mayor because I am willing to make the decisions necessary to solve L.A.'s financial problems. Los Angeles needs a leader who is willing to deal honestly with our City's fiscal challenges. As Mayor, I will refuse to let our core city services suffer because of the bad decisions made by my City Hall opponents -- all of whom share responsibility for the mismanagement of our City. Over the course of this campaign I will continue to provide solutions to make our City more efficient, financially solvent, and most importantly livable for all once again."
